Objectives

Our mission: To continually raise professional standards and international recognition in the wider humanitarian and stabilisation sector.

Our vision: A globally recognised professional, efficient, and effective humanitarian and stabilisation sector.

Our values: Humanitarianism, charity, professionalism, integrity, impartiality, respect, sustainability, universality.

After decades of seeing the broad array of professional credentials and certifications that had been developed in other sectors, the Register of Humanitarian and Stabilisation Professionals (RoHSP)™ was officially founded in 2018 as a Small Charity to formally recognise the professional work of practitioners in the wider humanitarian and stabilisation sector.

The RoHSP™ is the home for all professionals working in (post-) conflict, disaster, and emergency response environments. We were founded by humanitarian and stabilisation professionals, for humanitarian and stabilisation professionals.

We provide formal recognition for professionals working in crisis, human security, development, stabilisation, and the wider humanitarian sector — whether it be in international organisations, non-governmental organisations, or other charitable causes operating in complex environments.

Fellowship Awards

Every professional on the Register is exceptional in their own right. However, some people have served humanity to such a degree that the RoHSP created a special honorary award to recognise their efforts. See our Fellowship Awards page for further information.
